Burnt Mills Washout April 2014

On Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 4-5 inches of rain fell on the Northwest Branch watershed. At Burnt Mills, where Colesville Road crosses the Northwest Branch, considerable damage was done due to flooding.

The brown strip is the result of flooding.
Water sat for an extended period quite far into the grassy area.
